I have heard that a prenup is only valid for 10 years in Maine. Is this true?

Dear Jenny,

As far as we know it is not true.
In 1983 the State of Maine, among many other states, adopted Uniform Premarital Agreement Act. This act set up strict requirements for a Prenuptial Agreement to be valid. There is no word in this Act regarding 10 year period.
