Hi there,
My question is after I download a prenup agreement from this site, what needs to happen in order for it to be legally valid. Do I need to take this form and my future husband to an attorney so that the attorney can witness and validate our signatures? Or are there other, less expensive ways to validate a prenup form that I've downloaded online? I live in Los Angeles, CA by the way.
Pardon my ignorance. I'm very new at this.
Regards
Patricia

Dear Patricia,
you do not have to go to an attorney to make your prenuptial agreement valid. You only need to acknowledge both signatures (yours and your fiance's) before a Notary Public.
However, if you can not come to an agreement with your fiance, or you feel that you need to speak to an attorney with regards to any of the provisions of your agreement, you are better off speaking to a lawyer.
Please be advised that Legal Helpmate is not a law firm and we must not give you legal advice.
Best regards,
