According to Montana Statute, Health Care Directive helps you to communicate your wishes about medical treatment for an event when you are unable to make health care decisions

According to the "Montana Rights of the Terminally Ill Act" any individual who is of sound mind and who is 18 or more years of age to make a
declaration (living will) that governs the withholding or withdrawing of life-sustaining treatment when he or she is in a terminal condition.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Montana Advance Directive for Health Care consists of two parts and combines into one document a Health Care Power of Attorney and "Montana Declaration" also known as a Living Will. It also contains a statement regarding Organ Donation provisions.
You have the right to give instructions about your own health care. You also have the right to name someone else to make health care decisions for you.
However, you are not required to complete all parts of the Montana Advance Directive form.
No health care may be given to you over your objection, and necessary health care may not be stopped or withheld if you object.
