According to the "Wyoming Health Care Decisions Act of 2005" any competent adult may execute a document known as an Advance Health Care Directive.
|
|
|
|
|
Wyoming Advance Directive for Health Care consists of four parts and combines into one document a Health Care Power of Attorney and a Living Will (Treatment Preferences). It also contains Guardianship and Organ Donation provisions.
You have the right to give instructions about your own health care. You also have the right to name someone else to make health care decisions for you.
However, you are not required to complete all parts of the Wyoming Advance Directive form.
No health care may be given to you over your objection, and necessary health care may not be stopped or withheld if you object.
